Grief Support for Men in Perth

Mentoring, Not Therapy — A Confidential Space to Talk When Words Don’t Come Easy

Man sitting by window reflecting on loss — grief support in Perth

When loss changes your world,
it can leave you silent.

Men have many ways of showing grief. For some, it is tears. For many men, grief looks like numbness, exhaustion, or trying to stay strong for everyone else.
It can show up months or even years later — in work stress, disconnection, or that hollow sense of “I don’t know who I am anymore.”

I offer grief mentoring for men — not counselling or crisis care, but a grounded space to talk honestly, reflect, and find your bearings again.

What Grief Mentoring Is

01

A conversation with a guide who’s been there

02

A way to make sense of what changed — not to fix it, but to understand it

03

A chance to reconnect with your values, purpose, and direction

04

A step toward living honestly after loss, not just surviving it
This is not therapy, and it’s not religious counselling.
It’s a reflective, strength-based approach that helps men find meaning and momentum again.

Who This Is For

About Mentoring Through the Maze

I’m David Kernohan, a men’s mentor based in Perth, Western Australia.
I help men navigate grief, identity loss, and emotional disconnection with honesty, compassion, and courage.
After the death of my son, leaving a long marriage, and rebuilding life beyond religion, I know how disorienting loss can be — and how meaning slowly returns when we stop trying to do it alone.

Mentoring Through the Maze offers 1:1 grief mentoring and men’s groups that help you reclaim clarity and connection at your own pace.

Your Next Step

There’s no pressure to talk before you’re ready.
